About Koala Tree

At Koala Tree Child Therapy I provide developmentally appropriate therapy to children age 3 - 14 years old, using child centred models of play and creative arts therapy.

Play therapy is a developmentally appropriate form of counselling or psychotherapy for children, using toys and creativity as the child’s medium to communicate and express themselves. Play therapy is effective in treating over 300 referable conditions such as anxiety, bereavement, challenging behaviour, divorce, peer relationships, adoption (ASF registered), to name a few.

I also work with children with special needs (Particularly autism and PDA) and feel passionately that developmentally appropriate therapy is vital service these children and families need.

Therapeutic Services

At Koala tree I offer a bespoke service to meet individual needs. My fundamental postgraduate training is in client centered Play Therapy. However, I am certified in other theoretical models and have 10 years prior experience working with children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). I work with ALL individuals and their families irrespective of their abilities or disabilities, who may benefit from the therapies provided.

Reviews

Lily has taken on our 8 year old son who goes to a special school. He became very fond of her week 2 and tells me that he can say things to her and open up more than he can to us. That tell us that she must be very good at her job, to have a little one enjoy going to therapy! She is very easy to get on with and explains exactly what she is doing to the parents, updating us regularly with her findings and any progression that she feels has been made. Highly recommend.... Lily is an amazing, caring and passionate lady. Her enthusiasm is infectious and she has established a wonderful relationship with my little one. I can not recommend her enough. L. Malloy - Parent

Lily is a special person. Our daughter suffers from chronic anxiety but with the help of Lily she is making good progress. We really don’t know what we’ve would have done without Lily. She is brilliant at her job and cares greatly with the young people she works with. J. Moss - Parent
